If wishes were horses, beggars would ride!

A beautiful Tennessee Walking Horse mare who came to MVHR thin and scared, with an eye infection and neglected feet, Luck has since been adopted by a young lady who continues to board her at MVHR where their bond grows everyday.  Was it luck...or something else?

Four years ago, when MVHR moved to McCoy, we were caring for 9 equines.  Now, there are 25 equines in our care, with a wait list of nearly 40.

We operate on a bare bones budget.  To accomplish what is necessary this year – buying hay and feed, contracting with trainers, repairing the RTV, farrier and veterinarian services, etc. – we rely on the continued support of you, our community of horse lovers and givers.

Faithful volunteers give.  Our board of directors gives.  Select grant-making foundations give.  Community businesses give.

The rest comes from You, our supporters.  You've always come through for MVHR!  The horses, donkeys, minis, mules, ponies, staff and board are grateful beyond words.  You make it all happen.

Please consider a horse sponsorship or a mid-year gift today to sustain the Rescue – to nurture, train and find forever homes for Appy Boy, Ryder, Bonita, Star Dust and their herd mates.

THANK YOU!
