Mountain Valley Horse Rescue is looking to hire Program Staff to begin work in August!  

Join the MVHR family, connecting horses in need with the amazing people of our community!

Multiple positions are available coordinating, overseeing and facilitating volunteer and community programs.  Part time and year round positions, with opportunity for growth. Flexible work schedule, offering some opportunity to work from home as well as at the ranch.  Some weekends required. Pay commensurate with skills and experience.

All applicants should be:

-Self motivated with a strong work ethic.

-Able to work well independently, but also interact, collaborate and innovate as part of a team.

-Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, with a diversity of demographics: adults, children, volunteers, board, other staff.

-Great organizers, able to maintain focus in a busy environment.

-Passionate about helping horses in need, and finding ways to connect them to the greater community.

Background and/or degrees in Education a plus.

Backcountry First Aid, WFR certification, or other similar training a plus.

Bilingual a plus.

Applicants must possess one or the other of the following skills sets (the ideal candidate has both):

-Horse knowledge - both handling and riding experience, especially in instructing others of varying abilities to safely interact with horses (i.e., riding instructor or trail guide experience).

-Program planning and implementation - for both children and adults, including curriculum development; marketing, social media and website posting; hiring, scheduling, and overseeing of staff; and computer skills (Google Drive and CRM familiarity a plus).
