Be a part of 74 Journeys of Hope in 2025!
At Mountain Valley Horse Rescue, our mission is to accompany all of the horses in our care on their individual Journey of Hope to happy endings with new, caring owners. Today on Colorado Gives Day, you can be a part of those Journeys by joining the Thundering Herd of Generosity happening for MVHR horses.
Some of these Journeys are pictured here. Like Cremello who was severely starved with neglected hooves, but has been adopted by his very own farrier! And Blaze, whose extensive eventing career did not protect him from neglect as he and his owner aged; and Bonnie & Frankie who needed a safe place to land when their owner passed away. MVHR gives every horse that arrives their own personal Journey, whether it is physical care like re-feeding, medical or hoof care; or training to help them trust and learn skills to find their next adventure. Blaze and Bonnie and Frankie, as well as sweet gray faced Golie, who are all just beginning their journey with the rest of the herd, will hopefully find their own loving homes in the year to come, with your help.
Thanks to YOU, MVHR can support each horse on their own Journey and help them graduate to their next adventure, what ever it may be. Our Hearts are Hopeful that you will support the horses that have found their way to MVHR to allow us to continue making these Journeys possible!

MVHR's capacity is 32 rescue horses, but right now, with 37 rescued horses in our care, and a waiting list that we can never get to the end of, the demand for our services and our mission are greater than ever!
