Today is Giving Tuesday, which means it is time for MVHR to gear up for this special week of giving leading up to Colorado Gives Day. Now through Tuesday, December 9, help by joining the thundering herd of generosity happening for MVHR horses.
We are excited to share there is a matching donor! Your Colorado Gives Day donation is matched up to $35,000, thanks to longtime supporters Alexandra Solal Mastriana and The Salah Foundation. Be a part of helping us reach our goal of $100,000 to ensure we can make Journeys of Hope for horses possible.

MVHR’s waiting list of horses in need persists, with more than 20 horses added just in the last month. The average annual cost to provide basic care for one horse for one year is $6,000. Currently, we have 37 rescue horses in our herd. Caring for the Rescue herd is a 24-hour a day, 7 day a week job, and there are no days off from providing food, medicine, shelter and training. Thankfully each day leads to more successful adoptions, making more room for the next horses that need our help. Your generous financial support is what makes all of this possible.
